Task: Write a short play on how the characters solve the problem.
Scenerio 2
As usual, Tommy had forgotten to do his homework again. It was his fifth time in the week. Yesterday, he had a big scolding from his form teacher, Mrs Stern. She threatened to send him for canning if he would forget again. When Tommy reported to her that he had forgotten again, Mrs Stern brought him to a room. After ten minutes, there was a loud scream. Tommy ran out crying. He was holding a long and thick cane in his hand.
What did you think happened in the room between Mrs Stern and Tommy?
My idea
"Tommy, come here!" A red-faced Mrs Stern said, with one of her hand waving about madly at Tommy and the other holding a long and thick cane. "Please, Mrs Stern, please don't use the cane on me..." Tommy begged, managing to forge a crying and frightened face as his wicked plan was starting to unfold in his mind. "Bend down now! NOW!" Mrs Stern glared at Tommy with her big bulging eyes, practically screaming. Tommy unwillingly bent down, ready for the caning. "Whoosh..." the cane swung around and at last, came right at Tommy's butt. At this tense moment, suddenly, "Aargh!"Mrs Stern exclaimed, screaming her head off hysterically and loudly. Some dragonflies released by Tommy were flying around Mrs Stern, leaving Mrs Stern shouting "Aaah" while batting away the dragonflies. Seeing that this was a golden opportunity to take action, Tommy quickly grabbed the cane away from Mrs Stern wih a cheeky "Hya yah!". In order for others not to know his naughty tricks, Tommy dripped lots of eye-drop in his eyes, making it seems as if he is crying because Mrs Stern had really caned him.
